For your convenience, you can apply online! The application fee is $200 through January 31. After that date, the fee increases periodically, so be sure to apply quickly!
Follow the link below and create a new LHSA portal account to complete an application for your student. Upon completion, you will be prompted to pay the non-refundable application fee based on the schedule below. Your new LHSA portal username and password will also be used to pay tuition once the application process is complete.

We encourage current 8th graders to take part in our “Crusader for a Day“ program. This program allows 8th grade students to see what life as a Crusader is like by shadowing a current Lutheran Northwest student. Shadows can generally be scheduled with just a few days’ notice, beginning in October. Please use the button below or contact Mary Gutenkunst to set up a “Crusader for a Day” experience.

This event is the ideal opportunity for your child to get a sense of what it means to be a Crusader. 7th and 8th graders (and parents!) are invited to experience life as a member of the Crusader family at Lutheran Northwest’s annual Future Crusader Day! This exciting day will be packed with fun, food, and fellowship!
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2024 OR SATURDAY, JANUARY 18, 2025 (9:00 AM-12:00 PM)
This important test helps determine the best course options for your student as you look ahead to scheduling classes for 9th grade. The test is free and all supplies will be provided by the school on the day of the test. Click below to register via our web event.

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2025 (7:00 PM-8:30 PM)
Registered 8th graders and those considering registration will be officially welcomed to Lutheran Northwest! Families will receive their child’s high school placement test scores (if taken), get an overview of the Lutheran Northwest curriculum, learn about specific course options for 9th graders, and have a chance to sign up for a March course scheduling appointment.

TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 2025
Registered students and their parents will meet one-on-one with an administrator or teacher to select classes. Current grades, teacher recommendations, and placement test results will be used as evaluation tools to help in class selections. The appointment usually takes 10-15 minutes. Choose a time that works for you at 8th Grade Intro Night or call the Lutheran Northwest office at 248-852-6677.
AFTER APRIL 15, 2025
Freshmen must have a physical exam on file before school starts in August. The physical exam must be completed AFTER April 15, 2025. The MHSAA (Michigan High School Athletic Association) Medical History Form is available here.
Current physical information must be on file in the office, along with a copy of immunization records, in order for your child to participate in Physical Education classes and all athletics. There are no exceptions.
AUGUST, 2025
All new students and their parents should plan to attend this important event! Dinner will be provided, key information will be shared, and students will have the opportunity to meet their mentors, walk through their schedules, and get their locker assignments.
