Fall Play: Tartuffe

  • Lutheran Northwest 1000 Bagley Avenue Rochester Hills MI 48309 (map)

Molière’s classic French comedy, Tartuffe, is the opening production of the 2021-22 Crusader Drama Season.

The religious hypocrite and conman Tartuffe (Luke Dameron) has hoodwinked naive Orgon (Josh Parker) into giving him money, letting him live in Orgon’s home, and even marry Orgon’s daughter Mariane (Sydney Vollmert/Mariyah Mays), but will he let Tartuffe have an affair with his wife (London Greene)? Can the family’s maid, Dorine (Reagan Rutkowski), bring Orgon to his senses? Will his son, Damis (Jimmy Wilson), save the day by killing Tartuffe in a duel? Will the family be turned out of their home? Will Orgon be arrested and face the King and the guillotine?
