On Wednesday, April 10, Mr. Davis and the students in his Ceramics class at Lutheran Northwest hosted a dinner at St. John Lutheran Church in Fraser to raise money for the church’s MCREST program. This program helps the homeless in the area by providing shelter, food, clothing and transportation.

This was the 12th year that Mr. Davis has coordinated this event, which provides an amazing opportunity for our Art students to utilize their gifts to help others. In addition to cooking and serving the dinner, the students hand crafted beautiful bowls in advance, which were then available for a donation at the event. This year alone, they raised over $1,300 to benefit St. John’s MCREST program! The Empty Bowls’ twelve-year total is now over $12,000!!
