Parents Providing Prayers (and Pop-Tarts)!

Lutheran Northwest is blessed with an extended Crusader family of active and engaged parents. Many work hard as part of Parent Network and/or Booster projects, and we are deeply indebted to them for their service.

A parent group that you may not have heard about is our “Parents in Prayer.” You can find these dedicated folks from 8:15-9:45 every Wednesday morning that school is in session, meeting in the school cafeteria to pray for Lutheran Northwest, for our students, faculty and staff. A box in the school office allows anyone to submit a prayer request to them during the week. Some parents are able to make it every week. Some come when they can. All are committed to supporting the ministry of Lutheran Northwest and the people who learn and teach here — through the power of their prayers. Any LHNW parent or supporter is welcome to join them on Wednesday mornings!

This year, Parents in Prayer has put into action a fun way to meet students where they are on a regular basis, taking prayer requests and handing out pop-tarts and breakfast bars as students arrive at school on the first Wednesday of each month.
