Happy Easter!
John 14:5-9 Thomas said to him, "LORD, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." Philip said, "LORD, show us the Father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
A careful reading of these verses reminds us of how lost the disciples could often be. Jesus Himself was walking with them. Yet Thomas and Philip ask, “Show us the way…show us the Father!” Just like the disciples, we are often lost and wandering leading us to doubt or question where Jesus is or perhaps wonder where we are going. To those doubts, Jesus answers with incredible comfort and assurance that He is the way! He is with us – we know Him. And further, He has sent His spirit to us to make sure we know Him!
Every week this year, it seems like each of our schools faces yet another challenge, another change, another difficult decision to make. As we seek to follow Jesus, He has shown us the way and He has been with us even in the most trying circumstances.
As we pause for Easter break, I am thankful for the faculty and staff of our schools and our LHSA office who have been tremendous examples of faithful service in the ministry of Christian education! They have made it their mission to keep relationships strong and Christian education alive!
I am incredibly thankful for all of you, our faithful families! Thank you for sending your children to our schools. Thank you for having faith in us and the constant encouragement you give us in so many ways. May you be blessed this Easter with the peace that passes all understanding and the joy of the risen Savior!
