Senior Spotlight: Elizabeth Berg
A 4.0+ student at Lutheran Northwest, Beth Berg is the Lutheran Northwest Class of 2021 Salutatorian. Her future plans include attending Saginaw Valley State University to study Nursing. Her home congregation is Our Shepherd Birmingham, and Beth also attended Our Shepherd for grade school.
Beth participated in National Honor Society, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Drama, Student Council, and Mentoring while at Lutheran Northwest. Beth is receiving our STEM Biomedical endorsement as well as the Conservatory of the Arts endorsement with a Vocal Concentration. In addition to her outstanding academic achievements at Lutheran Northwest, Beth participated in Cheerleading, Dance, and Volleyball while a student here.
What made your experience at Lutheran Northwest special?
Being involved in extracurricular activities and making new and close friends along the way made my experience at Lutheran Northwest very special for me. I was also able to become very close with my teachers which made my senior year more enjoyable.
What will you miss most about your time at Lutheran Northwest?
I will miss being able to see all of my best friends everyday and participating in the musicals with all of my cast mates, who I have also become very close with.
Was there a teacher/staff member that had a positive impact on you?
Mrs. Baughman made a notably positive impact on me by always encouraging me to stay strong and do my best, assuring me that God has a plan for me and pushing me to work hard towards my goals.
What qualities or skills are you taking away from your experience at Lutheran Northwest?
I will be taking away my qualities of care and compassion as the “mom friend,” as well as improved social skills when talking to friends and adults.
