New Leadership Development Program for Fall 2019

As we seek to live out our mission statement here at Lutheran Northwest, we will begin an exciting new journey this Fall: A school-wide leadership development program designed to help every Crusader learn how to lead!

During an 18-minute period once a week for four years, students will work their way through a focused curriculum, based on the work of Christian author John Maxwell, exploring 21 specific character traits of leaders. Bible stories that illustrate the trait will be discussed, seminars will delve deeper into particular topics, guest speakers will share their experiences as leaders, and upper class mentors will receive training to meet with 9th and 10th graders in small groups, providing hands-on leadership experience to those students who demonstrate readiness for this responsibility.

Leadership and the ability to discern good leadership are important for everyone, and it is our goal at Lutheran Northwest to give our students a firm foundation that will enable them to be effective and impactful Christian leaders, both now and throughout their lives.
