Senior Spotlight: Pamela Ruzycki
A 4.0+ student at Lutheran Northwest, Pamela Ruzycki is the Lutheran Northwest Class of 2023 Valedictorian. Her future plans include attending The University of Michigan to study Biology on the Pre-Med track with the goal of becoming a surgeon. Pam’s home church is Kensington and she attended Oakland Christian for grade school.
Pamela participated in National Honor Society while at Lutheran Northwest (including serving as NHS President this year) and is receiving our STEM Biomedical endorsement, our Humanities endorsement, and our Conservatory of the Arts endorsement in Visual Arts. A member of the Leadership Cohort, Pamela has been recognized by the faculty of Lutheran Northwest with a number of awards in her four years, including the Kindness Award, the Humanities Award, and, just this year, the Service Award and the English Department Award. Pam was recognized by the Advanced Placement Program as an AP Scholar with Honor. As Valedictorian, Pamela is also the recipient of the Best and Brightest Award from WXYZ Channel 7 Detroit.
In addition to her outstanding academic achievements at Lutheran Northwest, Pam was a founding member of the LHNW Be the Joy Foundation, which organized multiple food and clothing drives, she participated in two years of Cheerleading, and she was our Musical Theater choreographer for two years. Outside of school, Pamela has been involved in competitive dance and ballet her whole life, including teaching dance while in high school and earning a Highest Regional Score in the 2023 Beyond the Stars Dance Competition.
Pamela, what is your favorite thing about Lutheran Northwest?
I loved being in the student section at Football games!
